I just had a phone call, and a recorded voice said it was bulldog please hold. I was kept waiting 2 min, then a lady comes on demanding to know all my details. She says she had to have all my details before the conversation could go further. I asked her my phone number but she couldnt give it to me. I ended by hanging up the phone. Any way I then found to my surprize my internet connection was cut off.
I phoned bulldog My credit card had been recently been lost and my bulldog account not been updated with new account number. I asked why bulldog didnt send me an email requesting me to log into my account only for the lady on the phone to be rather snotty and tell me this is not how they do business. I asked how I could complain as this has been a big waste of my time, she told me I couldnt complain and that this is how they do business. I would not advise anyone to use bulldog as there service provider. I spend £39 a month for there 16 meg package, and believe you me, the pin rate is under 40, I am lucky to get an upload speed of 400kbs and a download of 1 meg a min. I live in vauxhall 300 yards from the bt largest substation. Bulldog are just not upto it and have crap customer service. cheers k |

if someone called me up and asked me to give them details I think I would decline also - it could be anyone calling up
surely at the very least they should have sent a letter.. |

A certain bank used to do that to me.
I used to force them to hand over some personal information to prove it was them. If they didn't I'd hang up. They soon added a note to my account saying that they had to authenticate themselves. Although from my understanding this is now their default practise. They'll tell you something only they could know, then ask you the same. |
