I thought seeing as many of us like/use open source software that we should have a thread dedicated to it, and add to it as we find more.
There are some most of us already know about but there are some people that don't know there is an opensource (free) alternative to hand. Office and Desktop Publishing, Graphics Editing OpenOffice, compatible with MS Office and Works Documents, much better than MS Office, more simpler interface and mch less bloatware The Gimp, Powerful photo editing software Paint.Net Another powerful photo editiong package More to be added as and when I find them.
