The IT bloke at work has finally got sick of people accessing Facebook during work time, and has amended the Hosts file to block access to both facebook.com and www.facebook.com
Annoyingly, all staff are set up as Standard Users, with no access to the locked down functions of the Admin account. Is there a way to bypass the Hosts file to allow access to Facebook?

Generally no there isn't.
You might try proxy settings but I believe Hosts overrides proxy. At the end of the day he'll just ban it at network level (ip block on routers) if people do get around it. |
