What was the first record you bought?
Let's get this party started: First single I bought (with my own money) was Devil Gate Drive by Suzi Quatro.

Could be an interesting thread.
First Record for me was Rat Trap by The Boom town Rats. Bought lots of singles but for some reason no Albums then I bought Bat Out of Hell, Meat Loaf and The War of the Worlds in the same weekend.

Me and my teddy bear, saved up to buy mum record they convinced me I should have this 78rmp and hubby trod on it oops. still like the record.

"Move It" by Cliff Richard and The Drifters. Some time later I bought "Living Doll", also by Cliff Richard and The Drifters.
Yes, you heard that correctly, The Drifters. It was shortly after "Living Doll" was released that the band name changed to The Shadows due to a legal challenge from the American group The Drifters when Living Doll hit the USA charts
