Ok here's the problem. Iwas workig away in Word when I noticed that sometimes when I pressed a key that it either didn't show up on screen or it was slow to be displayed. I've got an A4 Tech wireless keyboard and mouse (FM version, not infared) I changed the batteriesin the keyboard hoping that would solve it, but it was just as bbad so for the moment I'm having to use my old standard ps/2 wired up keyboard.
Any ideas? This can't be yet more faulty hardware?? Behemoth - a bit confused

Personally, I might try cleaning it. What sort of environmental conditions have you been using it in? Like, has it been dusty or humid or anything? Or have you ever dropped it?
Due to how fragile they can be, I'd advise against using keyboards on a sofa or in bed to play games, it's probably better to use a joystick or gamepad for this kind of purpose.

I ocasisonally have the same problem. It's interferance caused by something else(tv, radio, etc..), which is received by your mouse receiver. I solved my problem by putting the receiver closer to the keyboard(to shorten the length of the beam).
