Just the funnier side of the recent item in TS News MP's barred from reading their own emails

One can see why MP's might wish to block abusive e-mails from their in-boxes. But their firewalls seem more impregnable than Saddam's secret weapons stores.

Invitations to MP's to a bash with the Director General of the BBC bounced back because "Dyke" was deemed an offensive word.

"Dick" is also banned- which won't do much to boost the low-ish profile of our bungling sports minister, Richard Caborn.

Similarly, Elliot Morley is finding his e-mails aren't getting through - the Commons computers have a rather snooty aversion to the name of his constituency, Scuntthorpe.
