I haven't been to this forum for nearly a month now but just had to vent over this...

remember our fridge freezer that packed up ?

would've cost to much to repair so got another and then got in touch with local housing office to have it removed (free for council tenants).

was told to leave it outside my flat from 7am onwards as the caretakers start work (in pairs from 8am).

so, humped it onto the landing and went to work after first setting up a camera pointing out my kitchen window to film (out of curiousity) who walked by my flat in the day and to catch the council estate caretakers "on the job" taking it away for me.

came back at dinner it was still there so rewound the tape.

started it recording before I went to work again.

my girlfriend came round at 3pm ish and noticed while watching on the TV that the asylum seekers in the flat next to me kept coming out there flat and looking at the f/f, then sharpishly legging it back into there flat.

at 4pm, they walked right up in front of my window and tea-leafed the ****ing thing and took it into there flat


got home, couldn't believe my eyes then stormed off to the local housing office where they didn't give a ****

all they said apart from "we didn't know you wanted a f/f removing" was well, if you don't want it, let them have it....

it doesn't bloody work and I know what will happen is they will find that out themselves, then chuck it over the balcony near to the bins and I will get the blame..... **** that

some caring local housing office eh ?

I have no method of removing the f/f so was glad the caretakers said they could properly dispose of it (under new laws) re: f/freezers...

if I hadn't got the thieving asylum scrounging sc*mbags on film I would've just assumed when I got home from work the caretakers HAD removed it for me....

i'm fuming to say the least and they (the council AND the thieves next door) haven't heard the end of this by a long shot

Agree the moderators should do something about this thread.

Instead of deletion could it be fully censored to remove the offending parts and notes put on what has been removed and why.

For example the current title should be changed.....

If you didn't see on the tape that the neighbor took it, you would have happily gone about thinking the council removed it,, what's the big deal then? You have a nice new ff, and the old one is gone. Problem solved really.

and see what ppl were actually saying,. open and reasoned debate that doesn't turn into harassment or insults seems preferable to censorship to me.

I would have said that it is more prejudice than racist.

The only possible censorship issue here is whether or not you feel that the word "sc*mbags" is suitable or not, and if you look carefully you'll see that it has been "self-moderated" to a degree anyway.

Where my daughter lives in a London block of flats it's the done thing to leave your unwanted goods by the bin so that someone can take it and leave their older one by the bin and so it goes on down the chain until the worst item is left there then the caretaker arranges for it to be disposed of.

Silv as a former victim of harassment I considered most carefully whether or not I should join the criticism of Mega.

Am I correct in thinking that even if Mega considered our points and tried to edit his post he could not at this stage alter the thread title (sometimes you can and sometimes you can't -is there a time factor set in ?)

Whether it is rascist or prejudiced Mega's title iwould be offensive to an asylum seeker who has the language ability to work out possible combinations so as fill in the missing letters indicated by " *****"

What does Mega think? Can he take our comments on board? Would he object to some moderator editing so as to share our amusement and maybe smile himself?

why don't you search and read b4 you presupose what you will find, next time you see something you feel is racist you might like to argue against it rather than simply making it disappear.

I spent 1/2 hr going back over those threads b4 I posted in this one to compare it because I wanted to know whether reasoned debate is better than deletion - I still belive it is...

I've just put an old Fridge/freezer out for collection by the council, all arranged and it's free collection.

OK by me if anybody "steals" it, it will work ok in the winter but not in the summer when you most need it
