Default Will it be possible for the UK to leave the EU without a deal

If the UK are unable to conclude a leaving deal with the EU will the Government have to comply with the decision of Parliament and implement the legal processes to cancel Article 50?

We need to look at the Yvette Cooper Bill that has now received Royal Assent

Yvette Cooper’s Private Member’s Bill explained

When the final deadline approaches it seems possible that France might be the single Country that could veto any extension and might try to encourage other EU Members to do so.

Are the EU in fact respecting the decision of the UK Parliament and taking control to ensure the UK does not leave without a deal?

OTH the European negotiators might not wish to be seen as creating a “no deal” situation and could place conditions that are allegedly unacceptable to the UK on any extension after the final deadline.

If the Government reject those conditions they will create a “no deal” situation that could be in contravention of the Yvette Cooper legislation.
If the Government have not held a “Peoples Vote” surely the only fair democratic and legal procedure would be to hold one giving the options of the Theresa May Agreement, the final offer from the EU, “No deal” and “Remain”

The method of voting should enable the preferred options of those who wish to leave the EU with a deal to be totalled against “No deal” and “Remain”
