The BT Home Hub V2 (the curved one) contains a mini-PCI wireless laptop card, REMOVABLE... and it is PRE-N (broadcom).
http://www.broadcom.com/collateral/p...055-PB02-R.pdf Unscrew the hub, remove the main board, and there it is!. This can be the ONLY reason to get one of these pieces of crap - the goodies inside!. Just thought people would like to know ![]() |

Just unscrew every screw in sight, until you see the card, sitting in a white socket!. It has two antenna attached to it via little grey(?) wires - you cant mess it up. There are two metal levers either side of it, holding the card in place - just move them AWAY from the card, and pull gently on the top end (antenna end) of the card, and it should release.
Here is my photo set of the take-apart; should help you!. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2200869...7606378905490/ No, it won't fit in a desktop PC. ![]() Last edited by unlokia; 30-August-2009 at 15:08. |

Hi Unlokia, i came across your post while searching for things to do with my un-used home hub 2.0.... i have removed the n card and put it in my laptop. Do you know what driver this needs? or how to install it? it comes up as a "Network Controller" with a yellow explanation mark in the hardware manager. I running Windows XP.... Really want to get this working as my laptop only has a gwireless card. Any help much appreciated!!
