Default Win/FakeIE

Back again for some help please.

Was on Google and clicked on a site (nothing naughty) when up popped a window to say the computer was infected etc., and noticed that something was running on the screen. I quickly disconnected the broadband and turned off the computer.

I did a full scan and it came up with Win/FakeIE detected.

All other cookies etc had been put in quantine but not the Win/Fake IE.

Went on to google to research this and it said to run Malwarebytes, which I did, but nothing was found.

Is there any other way I can check to make sure this is not on my comoputer. Thank you.

TRY = Esset online scanner or any one of the other major av vendors online scanners
or you could download SAS Free version select the free version, or 30 day trial if you want realtime protection, or there is a fully working 30 days trial Emsisoft Anti-malware 5.0
