Default Fishing Anybody?

Seen in our local park lake this week, all the fish were at the surface, sunbathing I think.

Hiya oldboy
Not a fisherman myself, (hate the idea of actually catching one), but I love the idea of sitting on a nice sunny grassy bank, line in the water and while away the time. Nice.

But. I live in wales and often go for a walk around Pen-Y-Fan pond. Originally it was a water supply for a coal mine, but now it is stocked with trout. So tell me, why, as I walk around this pond swaddled up to the eyeballs 'cause it's bloody freezing, do I see men, dressed in waders, standing in the middle of this pond flicking a long sick with some string on the end of it?
