Default Camp site Ireland

Has anybody been or had the experience of camping in southern Ireland? I am looking at spending a two week caravan holiday over there during the summer but looking at the Irish web sites the camps seem a bit basic compared to the site's that you get in the UK.

See examples UK http://www.trelay.co.uk/page2.html lots on the site as you can see

Ireland ? well you try, Its difficult to find a caravan site with a good web site and when you do most camp site's seem to be very basic.

Just after a site which has stuff to do in case the weather turns poor and a good play area for the kids.

So has any members had the pleasure of camping in Ireland and whats it like.

Cool Re: Camp site Ireland

Take a look at campsites in France, they are MUCH better (location, facilities etc) than even the UK's - and it's not that far from you. Probably cheaper too! (and a smoother crossing!!).

Just look at Ballycastle and Portrush, just the sort of campsite we are looking for, but a long old drive south to visit the reletives. Think we found one now in the south called the apples.

Thanks
