Smile Have you been a victim of internet crime?

Have you been a victim of internet crime?*
Tell us your story

If you or any of your friends/family have had money stolen when using an online service, had personal files destroyed through a virus attack, been scammed through a fake or dodgy website or email, and you would be willing to talk about your experiences to the press, then please read on.

We are an internet safety campaign providing information for people to protect themselves against internet threats such as viruses, spam, spyware, computer hacking and online fraud.

To help us spread the online safety message we need to tell the story of people like you who have found themselves the target of online crime for interviews with national and regional TV, radio and newspapers.

If you have a suitable story to tell, please contact Patrick Farrall on Phone: 020 7344 1326 or send an email to press@getsafeonline.org

Financial rewards will be offered to people with a suitable story for the media.*

I think the Admins should check this post before anyone responds to what might be some kind of scam.
They don't appear to have bothered even to register here.

Doesn't this come under a similar heading ?

Did they ask permission to do this on the forum......if not, why not ?

'getsafeonline' - it would have been better to have the request for stories on the getsafeonline.org website and link to that from the first post and also provide some information on 'who' was posting rather than some 'getsafe' user, i.e. they could have signed with their name

but people don't have to ask permission,. it might help their cause if they did but we don't force people

OK. Ta for the explanation. I was just a little concerned in case of some kind of exploit.
