Sounds like your hard drive is on its way out is it a new drive ?

Have you ran a full scandisk / defrag this could be the problem you are having on your other thread

It seems like everything i download that is large has a corrupt file in it too. My friend used the same exact file and it would install and work fine for him but it seems like my computer is plagued........... my god i just want it to work and work good.

Thank you my drives are both Brand new Seagates one is a 160gb other is a 200gb.

I am running a defrag right now on the 200 which is my all storage drive. My 160 which has windows XP and programs has been defraged.

it could be the game disk that has a problem.

If it will do it, try copying files from the disk to hard drive and then install from there. If it fails doing that (the copy bit) it suggests the CD is bad rather than the hard drive (in my experience)

You could do the usual check of the cables from the cd and to the hard drive, it is possible to run into strange problems if a cable is bad or the connector is half engaged.

doh sorry I missed the daemon tols bit.

Have you tried their forum?
I see it mentions trying another drive or ignoring errors not aborting.
