MIRC DCC send problem.

I've a problem in sending files in IRC. I would like to share mp3s in IRC. I'm using Edimax AR-6024A Annex A (ADSL over POTS) router, using WinXP SP1, MIRC Ver. 6.14 and OmenServe 2.51.

The problem is when I started dcc send files, my send won't start. The error msg. is 'Missing parameters'. I've configured my MIRC but I don't know how to configure my router. I've open 2 ports under MIRC settings, connect>options>advanced where port 4000 and 4001 for dcc send.

Can anyone help me on how to set my router for MIRC dcc send?

AFAIK....

6660-6669 are server ports (the port mirc connects to).
No point openening these.

Ident is necessary on Some networks.

you dcc send request through the irc network.
They accept the dcc, connect to the dcc port specified in you above request and download data.

When you dcc send they are actually pulling the data, you're not pushing it.

The extra bit of software allows users to request files with queueing mechanisms etc.
The error message is not one I've seen before on mirc. try the support group of the addon.

Or use a better addon.

what is the prob. now that i can dcc send it to myself but not to others? error msg :'unable to connect'
