I thought you said that your intial 12 month contravt was up? and that you had for whatever reason decieded to stay with em until now, unless you agreed to another contract with them you are not bound automactically to another, so you should be free to switch isp when ever you wish???? if you did sign up to another 12mths more the fool you

Hi All,

Just read the many complaints you have had with Tiscali, I too have had had similar probs... I left the company and registered with BT for my Broadband, but Tiscali where is debiting my credit card. After many months of calls to customer services and still the amounts where being taken I finally lost it and went all out to find Tiscali's CEO (Nathan Francis) email address and wrote to him directly stating I would be seeking legal action against them if this remained unresolved! Within 2 days I had a telephone call acknowledging my complaint and that it was being dealt with, the end result of it all is that finally 2 days ago I received a cheque for the full amount that was taken from my credit card... RESULT!!!

So for all you who have had problems getting through or any answers from customer services or speaking to someone in India, here are the numbers you need! You need to speak to the "High Level Complaints Team"

Tiscali UK Ltd
The Icon, Lytton Way,
Stevenage SG3 6BT

Tel:01438 363198
Tax:01438 363880

Hope this is a help for you all as it was for me! Good luck!!!

Gary

Post Re: Getting rid of Tiscali

well ive got rid of them at last now with uk online wanted the 16mb but the actual line legnth must differ a lot from the distance from my exchange as i should of been able to have got most of that speed according to my line stats and distance from exchange, but i have virtually got 8mb constantly 24 hrs a day no dropouts seems a rock solid connection so far, definately worth the extra £5 a month, with 20:1 contention and fast path on no interleaving,Anyway good old (crapiscali) are trying to take the piscali outta me, with my compensation as i had a look at my account today and it shows that it has been credited to my account and bb charges are being deducted from it, to add to that they send me letters saying they are gonna restrict my bb,ha,ha,i dont think so piscali,as they have not recieved my payment from my bank via dd ,lol talk about one hand doesnt have a clue what the other is doing, they are really stupid nothing is beyond them well if no cheque by mid week next week, i will make it my goal in life to cause then some problems and i unlike them dont give false promisses

Tommy if you're Broadband package is coming to the end of it's agreed date and you don't contact the ISP then the package will continue for another year. What i would like is not some idle chatter but some sound advice about different ways telephone and even recorded delivery? And postal addresses where i can contact them as a means of ensuring that i will have got rid of Tiscali and obtained a MAC code to give to another more reliable ISP.

yeh wich is what i did some 5 weeks before the avaversary of the contract i sent 2 letters recorded delivery, to both mk and soho adress ,and as i had previously contacted ofcom some 4 month prior i was able to involve cisas who wrote to them as well , once this done they have 2 weeks to reply and argue their case or accept your complaint ect, wich on the last day they did, they agreed fully and told me i would have my mac within 5days, some 13 days later still no mac so i contacted ofcom as they breeched the rules ofcom e-mailed them as we spoke, later that day i had a md or he said he was on the phone asking if i had the mac, i told him no, the next morning i got a call with my mac code and some 10 days later a letter confiming everything they had agreed to with cisas and myself (wich they have a further 28 days to do it in)i cancelled the dd switched over isp al;l charges was waived from the account and that was closed some 14 days after i had switched and i also recieved a cheque for the comp i had asked for, As like everyone else i had spent money on phone to india, without resolve there was no way i was gonna use the cancelation number to cancel as well as i have proved you dont need to and have read that this does not work as it is supposed to either
