hi ive got a spedtouch 576 adsl wireless router cost me £2 on ebay AOL issue and my current isp is tiscali adsl
my question is can the speedtouch 576 modem wirless router be configured to use tiscali rather then AOL to who it was supplyed by. I have been looking for info on this subject but drew a blank so far but what i have read is that 1st Id need a driver for device which got from AOL site 2 ive downloaded the firmware utility tool an tutorial in case it requires a firmware upgrade to achive this task of unlocking it from AOL 3 the lastest firmware for the speedtouch 576 verion 5.4 If anyone could advise me if it is at all possible to cofigure this modem router to tiscali adsl service any help would be thankfuly excepted des |

i would imagine that it would be more or less the same as most other isps settings
pppoa vc 38 ect just put your password and username in the feilds that piscali have given you |

yeah set up no problem just put my username an password into the setup menu of router
1 thing tho could i hell get into settings even after a reset ..also tried flashing firmware an still i couldnt enter settings using admin or administrator an leaving password blank, then i read a artical bout ther been a bug in firmware with explorer so used firefox to log in an got there instantly .... another thing piscali are actually ok as far as reliablility ,never had a problem with them at all on that front ..however due to my exchange been only able to give me 512kbs at time of sign up i find im on 512kbs for £14,99 ,then having seen my exchange was upgraded an my line then been able to carry 2megs i contacted tiscali askin for upgrade , i was told after 30 mins of buck switchin i would have to cancel my package an join as a new customere to get the product on my line ...not stoppin at that i emailed complaints askin why this is so needed to cancel a service i feel is reliable an join as a new customere simplyto get my max line speed what im told by BT my line ...after all im paying for 2meg service ,,2 months later my email was answerd with an appology to time taken to responed an a promise an upgrade will follow within 2 days ...2 months later im still awaitin my upgrade an response to futher complaint. so yeah testicals tiscali when it comes to costemre service |
