This one seems to be the most up to date. Might give it a run at some point ![]() PowerAdmin is still going strong too.... http://www.poweradmin.org/ |

I'm using poweradmin as the power dns GUI frontend, it does a reasonable job if you don't need to make changes that often
![]() since powerdns is working to a mysql backend database you could of course just write something to fiddle with that Last edited by silver; 11-April-2010 at 18:36. |

Another option is PowerDNS on Rails (http://kennethkalmer.github.com/powerdns-on-rails/). I built it after getting quite fed up with TUPA and requiring a REST API and rich UI for our PowerDNS management.
PowerDNS on Rails features include:
Could you please update the original post to include it in the list? Best. Kenneth Kalmer http://opensourcery.co.za/ |

![]() thanks for the heads-up, I'm still using poweradmin but there's probably less than 50 domains and we don't make changes that often, will check out PowerDNS on Rails when I get a chance thanks! S |

i try PowerDNS on Rails, setup ruby, rubygems rake and git, examine all for list in wiki on his website, read documentation. But i have some problems on make it running. ./script/server seem to need some other things. It's not easy. I return to poweradmin :[

sorry for posting to rather old thread, but just wanted to share PowerDNS GUI I recently wrote. It is rather simple, but easy to use. Demo at:
http://www.powerdns-gui.org/ It is licensed under GPL and can be downloaded from: http://code.google.com/p/pdns-gui/ |

Hi,
I thought that I would also breath some life into this thread and keep it going a while longer ![]() We manage a lot of domains and began developing our own management UI for PowerDNS, and we have now released it for public use (source will be added soon in a couple of days), hoping that someone can find some use for it. You can find it at http://pdns.aoeu.info Currently only for MySQL backends, but will support PostgreSQL, and also some server statistics. Can manage multiple servers. |
