Anyone like to suggest to me a suitable book on the Mac using post 2005 OS Tiger to put on my Christmas list.
I am totally new to to Mac and will soon be receiving a discarded Mac Mini 1.25 (circa 2005) with the Tiger OS installed. I'm looking for a book (not a door stopper) that will give me an overview as well as step by step instructions on the basics of using my Mini Mac - I'm coming at from a good deal of experience with MS Windows. In particular I need I need to be able to run a small number of windows programs on it (they all work in emulation on a Mac I am told) and link it to my home network.

How about this one?
I got a mac about a year ago with leopard and upgraded to snow leopard when it came out. I am impressed with it and have had no issues at all in the last 12 months with it crashing etc. I am also still learning how to use it. I've managed the basics but there is loads in there and I haven't even scratched the surface. |
