Hi AmyRose.
Welcome to The Scream! ![]() There seems to be 2 versions of that model, but HP doesnt make any mention of what the differences are. ![]() The link you posted has no Audio drivers for some strange reason, but the other version does, so that is worth a try. I quickly looked through both and most are the same drivers. I did find this however in the Release notes for the driver. HP Compaq dc5100 small form factor: All Models Here is the direct link to the sp36228.exe ADI SoundMax audio driver, which should be compatible with the Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_266E&SUBSYS_300D103C&REV_03.... http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...tem=vc-86494-1 I personally would not delete the downloaded file as it suggests in the instructions below, you may need it for future use, if you happen to format again and it saves you having to download it again. A good idea is to burn all the drivers you collect, onto a CD/DVD and keep them for next time. ![]() INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. NOTE: After the files have been unpacked, the self-extracting file downloaded in Step 1 can be deleted, if desired. 3. To install: Execute the setup.exe file unpacked in Step 2. The default location is C : / SWSetup\SP36228, unless otherwise modified during Step 2. NOTE: After the installation is complete, the directory created in Step 2 can be deleted, if desired. Here is the web page for all the other drivers... http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...d=135&swLang=8 Let us know how it goes.
