edit - edonkey client is a bit old now, a perhaps better client is the open source emule - I use it in place of edonkey, though they do much the same things emule has some really good features and all in all is probably a better client! See the emule tips thread above for some ideas to speed it up!

Here's some 'server lists' they are mostly up-to-date and clicking on the links on each line automatically add the server to the edonkey/emule server list

edonkey2000 france list

You may never need to add servers this way, edonkey and emule add servers automatically when they connect to a server.

I have been using www.shareconnector.com for ages, great sourse of links, all coming with reviews etc, I swear by it and emule loves it

Musicmule is excellent for those more obscure records. They steer clear from mainstream stuff so dont expect any U2 etc.
